April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Sexual violence is a significant problem in the United States. According to LaFASA.org, Nearly 1 in 5 women and 1 in 71 men in the United States have been raped at some time in their lives. The Wellspring is dedicated to raising awareness about sexual violence, and educating communities and individuals on how to prevent it.

Who we are, what we do
The Wellspring is one of the state's leading nonprofits, providing services for those dealing with domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, and child well being. We also offer a professional counseling centerBig Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program, and the region's domestic violence and rape crisis phone hot lines that took over 5,000 crisis phone calls in 2012. We provided award winning services to nearly 8,000 persons in 2012, providing Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow! Our mission - To strengthen and value individuals and families through professional services and community leadership with a culture of integrity and compassion.
